In an effort to offer more regularity to club rides, a new ride schedule has been developed. The new schedule offers weeknight options as well as Saturday rides. We hope this new schedule will fit the needs of club members. We’d love to see you on the rides and have your feedback on the new schedule. We are also in need of ride leaders and hope that other members will sign up. Please contact Forrest Halford with your comments, questions or offer to lead a ride.
You are also encouraged to continue to use the mailiing list to announce rides and solicit riding partners.
See you on the road soon!

From Helen Siewers:
The Bowling Green Arbor Day celebration takes place at Kereiakes Park on Saturday, April 12, from 10am to 1pm. The event has featured a bike rodeo the last two years, and this has been an important part of the event’s success.
BGLOB members have been very helpful volunteers: fitting children with helmets, checking and fitting bikes, and supervising stations at the bike rodeo.
Please consider helping again this year.
The Arbor Day celebration starts at 10am.
The bike rodeo starts at 10:30am and goes until 1pm.
I’m looking for volunteers who can help the entire time, or for a shift: 10-12 or 11-1.
Please let me know by April 4 if you can help.
Thanks in advance,
Helen

Mammoth Cave to Open Sal Hollow to horses??? A public forum will be held Thursday, February 7.
If bicyclists want to keep Sal Hollow, it is vitally important that we write letters and attend the public forum. From my understanding, the park does weigh decisions based on volume of letters received. Are there other local groups, such as Louisville, Hendersonville, Nashville, etc. that use the trail who could also write letters and attend???
If you want to save Sal Hollow, please act NOW. This is a link to the press release on the Park Web Site. http://www.nps.gov/maca/parknews/draft-ctmp.htm This is a link to the web page that has the actual plan. http://www.nps.gov/maca/parkmgmt/planning.htm
