Old Morgantown Road Bike Lane Potential

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

Attached is a notice for a public meeting regarding the upgrade of Old Morgantown and discussion about pedestrian and bike traffic needs. The Bowling Green League of Bicyclists encourages you to attend this meeting to express any opinions you might have regarding the construction. There are currently (3) proposals for the reconstruction floating out there, including one with bike lanes – which we consider to be the best proposal for this corridor. If you have any questions for BGLOB, please contact Anne and Kent Ellis.

Mammoth Cave National Park is organizing these trail maintenance days for 2007. All workdays start at 9:00 a.m. CST and meet at Maple Springs. If you would like to participate, please contact Johnny Johnson to find out if BGLOB has organized a crew to work on Sal Hollow or Turnhole Bend (the two trails open to cyclists). If we haven’t organized a crew for that day, the Park Service will still welcome your help. They will be tackling a variety of trails throughout the park.
