One of the best ways to promote and improve cycling in your area is to become a League of American Bicyclists League Cycling Instructor (LCI). The LCI certification seminar prepares individuals to teach bicycling classes to adults and children. Bicycling for Louisville will hold an LCI seminar on May 19, 20, and 21 in Louisville; this is the second time ever that an LCI seminar has been held in Kentucky. The seminar involves a full weekend from Friday (probably 5 PM) through Sunday (probably 4-5 PM). It is for experienced cyclists who have completed the League’s Road 1 course and who would like to share their love of cycling by teaching others.
If you are interested in attending the seminar, or know someone who might be interested, please let the League of American Bicyclists know ASAP. They need to have 10 participants signed up by April 16, 2007, or the seminar will be cancelled. To sign up, print out the application, fill out the form, and mail it to the League with your $200 payment. If you are not already a League member, you will need to join in order to sign up for the seminar.
